WTC #19
Blanka Szabó
Blanka joins What The Crew for the second episode in the new studio format.
Originally from Hungary, Blanka grew up in Budapest, studied in Rotterdam, moved back home during COVID, and later returned to the Netherlands for work — this time landing in Utrecht. Soon after moving here, she found Utrecht Running Project, where running became more than just exercise: it became a way to build community, meet friends, and feel at home in a new city.
Kevin talks with Blanka about how she started running, why she joined URP, moving countries, book clubs, bouldering, coffee, dating profiles, favorite running memories, and what makes Utrecht feel special.
The runner profile format also returns, with questions about costumes, music, podcasts, post-race food, dream running animals, favorite places to run, and the athletes or stories that inspire her. Along the way, the conversation touches on Central Park, Denver, true running friendships, Femke Bol, Sifan Hassan, Jake Catterall, and the upcoming Dam tot Damloop.
A warm and easygoing episode about finding your people, building a life abroad, and how running can turn a new city into home.
